Tagged

I found a free hour today amidst my busy schedule and decided to update my blog. What could I do that did not require much effort? A tag!

I was tagged by Ruby Ahmad late last year and within days (or maybe hours) re-tagged by Zawi, I thought it is best not to put this off any longer. So, here's something till I find the time to blog again ....

1. Name one person who made you laugh last night. My other half - the way he was teasing the dog just tickled me.

2. What were you doing at 0800? Trying to get the services of a plumber.

3. What were you doing 30 minutes ago? Sweeping, mopping and straightening out my humble abode.

4. What happened to you in 2006? Moved from one place to another .... a lot! In fact, it has not stopped. Hopefully our last move over Christmas 2007 will be final ... well, at least for a few years.

5. What was the last thing you said out loud? Peanut!!!! (my dog was trying to get into my tall aluminium kitchen bin. He has learned to stand against the bin and lift the lid with his nose. Bad boy!)

6. How many beverages did you have today? Two - coffee in the morning. Iced tea at lunch time.

7. What color is your hairbrush? Black, which I hardly use. I prefer a comb.

8. What was the last thing you paid for? New tail lights for my Jeep. arrggghh! (yes, you can guess what happened there).

9. Where were you last night? In my office, at home, going over my expenses.

10. What color is your front door? Ivory.

11. Where do you keep your change? At home? I cannot reveal it here - it's a public place. :)

12. What’s the weather like today? Cloudy.

13. What’s the best ice-cream flavor? Dark chocolate.

14. What excites you? Many things, some innocent and some *ahem*

15. Do you want to cut your hair? I really don't know. I may lose strength if I do. ;)

16. Are you over the age of 25? I am 25 plus 15 years' worth of experience.

17. Do you talk a lot? Is that good or bad? I guess I talk when I have something to say.

18. Do you watch the O.C.? Sometimes ... I watch re-runs of the O.C. on Soap Channel when there is absolutely nothing else on. I like that guy, Ryan - mysterious chap! (sitted right in the middle, in front)

19. Do you know anyone named Steven? Yes, but his name is spelled S-t-e-p-h-e-n. He's my cousin.

20. Do you make up your own words? Puppy-licious - is that a new word? Has someone used it before? I use in this context - I have a very puppy-licious dog.

21. Are you a jealous person? Only if my territory is invaded.

22. Name a friend whose name starts with the letter "A". Anne Raman

23. Name a friend whose name starts with the letter ‘K’. Kenneth Forbes (brother of Eric Forbes, a blogger)

24. Who’s the first person on your received call list? My other half.

25. What does the last text message you received say? "Hello sis, r u online?"

26. Do you chew on your straw? No. (At least, I don't remember doing it).

27. Do you have curly hair? Why do we need to know this? :)

28. Where’s the next place you’re going to? The living room (after I am done with this in my office)

29. Who’s the rudest person in your life? Peanut, my puppy-licious pet.

30. What was the last thing you ate? Beef pot roast with baked potato.
31. Will you get married in the future? I hope not. One catch a lifetime is more than enough. :)

32. What’s the best movie you’ve seen in the past 2 weeks? I have not seen any new good movies lately. I did watch "Gladiator" again (for the sixth time).

33. Is there anyone you like right now? More than one.

34. When was the last time you did the dishes? A few minutes ago.

35. Are you currently depressed? If I were, I would not be doing this tag. :P

36. Did you cry today? No. It is no use "crying over spilled milk" - my busted tail lights.

37. Why did you answer and post this? It was something I could do effortlessly during a busy time. Besides, I owe Ruby "Diamonds" Ahmad and Zawi this tag.

38. Tag 5 people who would do this survey. I am leaving this open to anyone who wants to do it. If you are interested, let me know and I will add you to the list.
(Update: Looks like we have a volunteer)

You've watched Gladiator 6 times already? Wow..you must have the hots for Russel Crowe then :)

J.T. said...

Hi Trueblue

oh! Russell Crowe. He was absolutely 'yummylicious' in Gladiator. :D
I felt so sorry for him in "A Beautiful Mind", though.
I have to say he is one good actor ... besides being 'hot'. :)

Hi JT,

Thanks for sharing the tag.

Don;t u think Ryan of OC looks a bit like the guy in Gladiator...Russell Crowe? At a glance...:)

J.T. said...

Hi Nightwing

Now that you have mentioned it, I think there is a slight bit resemblance of Russell Crowe in Ryan (forgot his off screen name!) in that picture. Aha! my taste of men is becoming evident. :D

Thanks for dropping by.

Cheers!

j.t,
Thanks for doing the tag.
It was so long ago and I have almost forgotten about this tag. I read in Rita's site that you are doing the tag, I thought it was the Takeaways of 2007 initiated by Jafflam. I think I didn't tag u for Takeaway 2007 cos I have already tagged seven other victims more than the 3 that I was supposed to tag.
How about doing your Takaways for 2007? You will definitely have great things to share.
Since you are too busy at the moment, do take your time.

Anonymous said...

You said I am 25 plus fifteen. Hahahaahahaha...

What's the purpose of the question right? They shd just phrased it as "how old are you?" dont ya think?

Hello JT,

Hey sweetie thank you so much for obliging. Me too, I owe a few tags...argghhh! Dunno when I will honour them, and one is Zawi's. Once it was yours and thank God you let me off. You are such a kind friend you know JT. I love you for that.

Peanut your dog? What a cute name. The rudest? Ha ha..only because Peanut loves you the most so he could be himself with you, no holds barred. I saved a dog once from hunger and she stayed with me for a while cos her owner left the country in a huff over some problems and she had nowhere to go 'cept my house the closest neighbour. I felt proud I managed to do that good deed for God's being, even some people say she's just a dog. But I learnt plenty from her, what loyalty is all about. Boy she's loyal. I felt she was more honourable than most human I know..ha ha! Thanks again JT.

Hi Zawi

This tag, if I am not mistaken, was from early December - a short few weeks before I decided to take a break from blogging. It seems like so long ago, huh?

I read Rita's Takeaways of 2007 and thought that was rather interesting - thanks to Jafflam.
Actually, I wouldn't mind doing Takeaways of 2007. That gives me something to blog the next time I get a free hour/day. Thanks for asking, Zawi. :)

I will try to drop by your blog in the next few days. As I mentioned in Ruby's blog, I am slowly working my way through some and I will definitely come a knockin' on your door soon. :)
Thanks for understanding my current predicament.

Take care.

J.T. said...

Hi Elviza

Exactly! why don't they just come out and ask "how old are you?". Sneakily asking if one is over 25 is like asking, "are you more than a quarter century old?" :D

J.T. said...

Hello Ruby

Did Zawi tag you with the Takeaways of 2007? :)
Don't stress yourself with owed tags, my dear. Take your time. I am sure Zawi wouldn't mind if you put it off for a bit. (correct, Zawi?)

Thank you for your kind words. Let's just agree that it takes one to know one. ;D

You have a valid point about Peanut. He is just being himself with me. No hidden agendas. He is a good companion, actually. He is always with me - wherever I move in the house ... except the bathroom. The minute he hears water running in the tub, sink or shower, he runs out. hahaha (he thinks it is bath time for him). But he does not go far. He waits outside the door till I come out.

awww.. Ruby, that was so kind of you to care for that dog. Someone once told me that people who care for stray animals are blessed because they are taking care of God's creatures.

You are correct about some pets being loyal - most of the time, more than a human can afford. No matter how much scolding Peanut gets from my husband and me (when he is naughty), he still wants to hang out with us. He is my constant shadow.
When he wants to be "manja", he jumps up on my chair to sit on my lap.

Thanks for dropping by, Ruby. :)

JT,

I heard people say those who love choc ice cream are very romantic at heart. :)

You're back! My prying eyes can't help but notice you left your signature in our friend's blog. Hope you had a nice "time-off" JT.. I seem to be on an self-imposed extended leave myself, bereft of ideas.. *sigh*

ur back! we just watched good luck chuck last night and was rather surprised. its better than 'i now pronounced u chuck and larry'.

J.T. said...

Hi Nana

Really? I did not know that. Interesting because I am a romantic at heart. However, I believe I am not a hopeless one. :D

J.T. said...

Halo Brader Mat Salo ... :)

I am back but not full time. My "time off" was actually spent moving. I still need time to sort things out. So, blogging will be at a very slow pace for me. I am currently working my way through a list of blogs I want to visit. :)

Wow.. you bereft of ideas? I have to admit it is hard to imagine you having no ideas but I guess we all go through that at some point.
How about doing this tag? It does not take much effort. I bet you would make it interesting not to forget funny like the last one you did months ago. :)

Thanks for dropping by, MS. I appreciate your visit. Take care, y'hear. Wishing you good vibrations. :)

Hi Akmal

I am fine, thank you for asking. I am not as busy as I was in the past two weeks but I am still not as free as I want to be. :)

It is not a crime that you did not know what "The O.C." was about. We have so much to watch on television that some shows are bound to slip through the cracks. There are so many new shows being aired in the States these days that I cannot keep up with all of them. So I have narrowed them down to a few favourites. I will end up being a couch potato if I made myself watch every new show available. :D

J.T. said...

Hello Princess Farina

You know, I still haven't seen "I now pronounced you, Chuck and Larry". (Is that movie on DVD already?)
I don't go to the movies over here. My other half is not a fan of movie theatres. :P
Is "Good Luck Chuck" a TV series or a movie?

Lee said...

Hi JT, Holy Smoke! You're back! Its like X'mas in January, seeing your callsign over at Ruby's.
My pc was down two days, only got back 2 hours ago.
Almost had to do a pc bypass transplant, but had a frien an expert, he repaired it...one dinner, home cooked my house.
Nice tag. I love the name of your dog, "peanuts".
Got a friend whose dog's name is "google"! Cheee!
Anyway...you keep well JT, see you again, Lee.

Rita Ho said...

Hey Jacqui ... SO very nice to see you back, albeit on and off. I am tickled by some of your .. err... evasive answers! LOL.

Did someone change your taillights for you or was it your own decision? haha! I am sorry that happened but am glad though that you have a true loyal friend in Peanut. The mutual adoration between you guys is so obvious from your comments. I experience the same with Lola and can imagine the joy Peanut brings to you and your husband.

I look forward to reading your takeaways and thank you for reminding me that Jafflam was the one who created the tag. These days I am so drugged, rudeness has crept in. Blush. I should go over and give my kudos as it was a meaningful exercise.

Happy settling into your new place, Jacqui and many thanks for coming by to read my notes.

dear JT;

what better way to kickstart blogging by doing tag right? bless the person (whoever) invented this tag thing (smile)

oh btw, the OC is coming back on the channel but its not my cuppa coffee - so teenage-licious!

J.T. said...

Hi Lee

So nice of you to drop by here. :)

Yes, holy smokes ... I'm back. hahaha
I am so flattered that you think it is Xmas all over again with my return. I hope I will be able to return to a blogging routine like I had almost a year ago.

I can imagine how inconvenient it was for you when your PC was down for 2 days. When I do not get connection for a few hours in a day, it feels like I am suffering from a drawback from some kind of addiction. I mentioned in Pearly's blog that I might be an internet addict. I guess I am if I am so dependant on it for emails, blogging and personal business.

Anyway, a dog named "Google"?! That's funny. What's not funny was when I had a neighbour (in Klang) who named their dog "Jackie". So you can picture this scene when I am taking a walk and the dog runs out to bark at me and the neighbour calls out to the dog and I think he is calling me! :D

Thanks for visiting, Lee. You keep well. I will be dropping by your blog soon.

Cheers!

J.T. said...

Hey Rita

So good to see you here again. :)

Evasive answers? :D Some tags can be so 'kaypoh', I tell ya. haha

The taillights change was 'my decision'. I reversed in that spot many times before without any problems. For some reason, that day, I did not see the pole. Maybe I should take it as good luck. I don't know how far it is true but some old people say that when one breaks something when leaving a house and/or going to a new place, one is breaking all the bad vibes in a place. hmmm...

My dog, Peanut ... he is a darling when he is not irritating me. :) (truthfully, he is so darn cute at any time).

I hope to post my Takeaways of 2007 by end of next week. I am taking one day at a time and if a window of opportunity comes up for me to devote some time to updating my blog, I will do it.
By the way, it was Zawi who told me about Jafflam's initiative. A splendid one, I have to say.

Thanks for your thoughtful wishes. Take care, Rita.

Cheers!

Hi KC

The O.C. is a little teenage-licious. I liked it when that girl, Marisa (Mischa Barton) was in the show and went through lots of ups and downs with Ryan (still cannot remember his off-screen name) and her parents. But once she left the show, I lost interest. The O.C. reminds me of "Beverly Hills 90210". That was another teenage-licious series. :)

By the way, I always resort to tags (easy ones) if I can. It is one way I can update my blog without much effort. (lazy is more like it! haha)

As for the jealousy issue, you'be been taking lessons from Peanut lar...Territory jadinya...;)

Hi Farina

I have to keep a look out for Good Luck Chuck - on DVD. :) I like Jessica Alba. She's cute and sexy.

$6.00 at the theatres on fri-sun and public holidays is a pretty good deal. I really have no idea how expensive it has become these days. I am guessing it averages about $9.00 nationwide.

J.T. said...

Hey Rashi

Glad you are having a great time with your visiting friends.

Hi Winnie

Thanks, dear. It's good to be back.

I totally agree with you about a doggy being a wonderful companion. Cuddling my Peanut does make me feel better. :)

P.S. He just woke up from his sleep and found no one in the room. He ran out looking for me. Isn't that cute?

J.T. said...

Hey Daphne

I did not know I was coming back. Once I found that free hour to update my blog, it led to working my way down a list of blogs to visit. I thought I was going to be busy the next day but I had another window of opportunity. Then found a few more free hours today.
I have to thank the erratic cold weather we are having. That puts a damper on doing work outside the house. I rather stay indoors. :)

Oh! you like chocolate ice cream too. I prefer dark chocolate but I am OK with regular kind. Only thing is I cannot eat milk chocolates anymore. Just don't enjoy as I used to many years ago.

Anyway, it is good to be back. I am not doing this full time though. As and when I have things to sort out (in good weather), blogging will take a break. I will try to reply your email soon.

Thanks dear. Hope I can get back to blogging like I used to last year.

I hope you are keeping well and look forward to reading answer to this tag.

Hi JT, just popped by. I really love your warm, peach blog and the beautiful cottage. So cozy.
Re dogs names, long ago I had a huge Doberman guard dog and I named him 'Smoky Joe'.
Back in the very early 70's there was a lot of robberies as well the orang minyak cases of rapes etc. Also the Rukun tentangga was implemented.
Lots of homes still got robbed, daylight and nights. My road alone 4 robberies...but my house, I lived alone with my dog was never touched.
Smoky Joe was a real killer, anyone touches my gate, you should see him charge and try to jump over, teeth snarling.
A Doberman with teeth snarling can give nightmares, ha ha.
He was trained not to touch let alone sniff even if raw meat, cooked meat put infront of him.
Only three persons can feed him. Me, my maid, my aunty.
Sometimes I carry him in my car, stop at a store buy groceries, all my windows down...he lying on the rear seat...nobody ever tried to steal my car, ha ha.
Oops, got to go, see ya, Lee.

Hello Sarinah

So nice to see you back to blogging too.

Yes, I moved again and hopefully it is a permanent this time. :)
If we have to move in the future (due to job opportunities), we may keep this place as our base (which will eventually be a place for our golden years).

You take care and see you around. Cheers!

J.T. said...

Hi Lee

Nice to see you here again. :)

Thanks for the compliments about my blog. I think I am going to keep it this way for a while. My last blog look lasted only 5 months then I got 'jelak'. This time I like the peach colour and know I can live with it for a few more months. :D (even if I do change the format, I will retain the colour).

Re Smoky Joe, it was good that he was trained not to touch food given by others. Some people are so mean and cruel that they will poison a dog (or in my case, dog given meat to eat with pieces of broken glass inside) so that they can get rid of a so-called nuisance. It is not that my dog was let free to roam the streets. He was always behind the gate or in the house. I really do not know what they had against that poor dog. He was only doing his job guarding our house (Klang).

I thought I could respond to another tag this week but I am finding it hard to start working on it. It is not the typical tag where there is a set of questions to be answered. It is going to take some concentration and time, which I lack lately. :)

Thanks for dropping by. Appreciate your visit. See you around.

Thanks for your list of favourite songs. That's quite a list! These are some of my favourites.

Beauty and the Beast - Celine Dion
Sometimes When We Touch - Dan Hill
Where The Boys Are - Connie Francis
Edelweiss - (from Sound of Music)
Paper Roses - Marie Osmond
Blue Bayou - Linda Ronstadt

It has been so long since I sang at a karaoke, I think my voice is a little rusty. :D

I must be a little addicted to blogging to be able to fit in some time for it. ;)

Ah! Russell Crowe... does that answer your question? hahaha
Seriously though, apart from just liking him in that movie, I like the messages I got from the movie. One of it is how a regular guy (when no one knew he was a former General) gained respect naturally from the masses while the emperor was finding ways (expensive ways!) to make his subjects love him.

Thanks for dropping by despite your busy schedule. Appreciate it very much. :)
