Ten Thoughts to Ponder for 2008
In continuation of my new year thoughts, here are Ten Thoughts to Ponder for 2008:
Number 10 - Life is sexually transmitted.
Number 9 - Good health is merely the slowest possible rate at which one can die.
Number 8 - Men have two emotions: Hungry and Horny. If you see him without an erection, make him a sandwich.
Number 7 - Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day, teach a person to use the internet and they won't bother you for weeks.
Number 6 - Some people are like a Slinky ...
Not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you shove them down the stairs. (Thinking of someone now?)
Number 5 - Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.
Number 4 - All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to Criticism.
Number 3 - Why does a slight tax increase cost you $200.00 and a substantial tax cut saves you $30.00?
Number 2 - In the 60's, people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is Weird and people take Prozac to make it normal.
And The Number 1 Thought For 2008: We know exactly where one cow with Mad-cow-disease is located among millions and millions of cows in America but we haven't got a clue as to where millions of illegal immigrants and terrorists are located. Maybe we should put the Department of Agriculture in charge of Immigration?

P.S. This list is from my email archives. I am still unable to blog something original at the moment.

Brilliant lateral insight into things, dear. I hope the thing about the slinky won't make me do something silly to a few people I know.
Hahahaha.....
Guess what, I actually have somebody in mind whom I would love to shove down the stairs.. But of course.. it was merely my wicked thought.
Have a good weekend!
Hi Bangkai
After reading your comment, I realised that I did not slip in a disclaimer - it is a list from my archives. I have done so already. Thanks for that. I cannot take credit for such brilliant thoughts.
I have did have similar thoughts about No.1, though. I still think that the IRS can find anyone, no matter how many times one has moved. So, why don't we put them in charge of immigration. :P
Re Slinky, if you do something silly, I hope I won't be identified as an accomplice. :D
Hehe...good one.
Thanks for sharing...:)
haa haa haa this is truly wicked & funny JT! Thx for the laffs! Hugs for a fab weekend!
Hi Nana
As long as that wicked thought remains a thought, we both can rest easy. (... and that action will not be traced back to my blog where I initiated the idea). :D
Hi Nightwing
Thanks. Hope all is well with you.
Hi Mush
It is wicked and funny, indeed. Kudos to the person who came up with this list.
You have a fabulous weekend too.
How come no one's wished you a Happy Valentine's Day dear?
So here's mine:
No fresh flowers
No expensive presents
Just a message from my "HEART"
where I keep nice people like "YOU"
Now how corny did I get?
No sweat Sis, go out and enjoy life. Blogging's about having fun too. No such thing as an original thought I think. Original thinking is SO over-rated. Take care,
Hi Mat Salo
Thank you very much for the lovely (and not corny) wishes. It was so thoughtful and sweet of you.
I really do not know why no one wished me Happy Valentine's Day here. I guess if I don't blog about it, I don't get wished. :P
(then again, I did not blog about my birthday and I still got some good wishes). ;)
I am cool with it. In fact, I say any day is a good day for showing some love and care - and not just to our partners but relatives and friends as well. So, Happy Valentine's Day to you too.
Roses are red, Violets are blue
If I received a flower for every wish,
It would have been just one - from you. :D
(now how corny is that???) hahaha
thanks for sharing j.t and i had a good laugh. Definitely can identify with the number 4, had snow storm, winter storm alert all in just a few days! no matter how much we complaint, mother nature pays no attention to us hahaha...
u hv a good week ahead, happy belated valentine's day too! hope it was filled with lots of love and joy :)
cheers @}-^--- (a virtual rose for u) :)
j.t.,
hahaha sweet! thanks for sharing j.t. :)
I like no 4; all of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to Criticism. just do whatever we like, and do it right, all will be fine :)
hi, just dropped by..
I lovvvveeedd no.1. No. 5 is good too.. :) In fact I was thinking of quote no. 5 when I was reading quote number 9.. :)
Keep sharing..
Hahaha...I pretty much agree on number 8. *grin*
Hello Winnie
Happy Valentine's Day to you too. Thanks for the virtual rose. That's sweet and thoughtful. :)
As for the weather, I agree ... mother nature will do her own thing and pays no heed to what the world thinks. :)
Hey Akmal
You are right, if we do what we like and do it right, everything should be fine.
However, I think to most people, it is not easy because any form of criticism (constructive or otherwise) is still an attack on the person. Look at American Idol, for instance. The judges give constructive criticisms (well, sometimes.. let's forget the blunt things Simon says... haha) and even with that, some contestants leave the stage feeling defeated.
Still, point no. 4 is a something worth considering. Thanks for your thoughts.
Hello Hazel
Welcome to my blog.
Hope you have a great day. I will be visiting your site soon.
Cheers!
Hey Rashi
I find it even more funny when I hear people getting so worked up about calorie counts, etc.
Hey.. life is short. If everything is done in moderation, including exercise and diet, I believe things should be fine. There is no need to get paranoid over food intake. :) (being a little careful is ok but we are talking about health nuts here). :P
Hi Trueblue
It is true, isn't it? Most of the time it is either one. hahaha
psst... glad someone pointed that out. :P
I also have an email archives atmy blog. Instead of re-emailing out to my firends, I invited them to my blog to share about it. Happy blogging !
oh my lovely JT :
I got to Laugh out LOUD , I love the no 1 kekekke,no 3 hahahhah.

just drop by to say hello my darling xxxxxxx
Hello KBGuy
That is one way we can cut down on forwarded emails that keep flooding in-boxes. I am sure some people will appreciate that form of sharing. :)
Thanks and happy blogging to you too.
Hello Pearly dear
It sure has been a long time since I have heard from you. Welcome back! Missed you!
I did not know you were back in Malaysia for CNY until I read Aiyah Nyonya's blog. :) That was so sweet and loving of you to surprise your parents. I am sure they were thrilled to have you back.
Take care my dear and see you around. :) *hugs*
Wow, that cow looks mad alright. Maybe I can get the ministry of agriculture to get rid of the mad cows I see everyday around me? ;)
Hi Pi
Are you referring to the human kind of 'lembus' that we have? :D (and I don't mean the learner drivers, I am talking about some who just know how to make our days seem longer). ;)
If you are, it would be nice. Then again, we can always use no. 6 on them. (oh! I am so mean). :P
Sorry Jacq...it has been sometime...you may heard this one about madcows before, but I take it you have forgotten....whilst grazing one cow ask the other....what is all the fuss about madcows? The other replied,"doesnt bother me. I am a penguin.
everything good and rosy with you?
Hello Zorro
That's a good one. :D Thanks for the laugh.
Everything's good and rosy over here. A little busy with everyday life but sailing along just fine. Hope to catch up with you someday (mee rebus?) :)
Hi JT, love all your above very interesting outlooks.
No.8 tickles me, ha ha.
So how is your new hacienda coming along?
By the way, you McCain fan, Rodham or Obama?
Have a nice weekend, JT, Lee.
Hello Lee
Thanks. This list is not mine but those points make sense and I agree with most of them. :D
No. 8... hahaha That was a hilarious one.
Hacienda is coming along fine. Every now and then I find some projects to do. Recently waterproofed the patio floor. Now praying for sunshine to dry it. :)
As for my choice of politician, well, if I forget about which party one belongs to and go on personality, I like McCain.
You have a good weekend too, Lee. Take care.
some awards for you to choose which one u like, have a nice day.
Hello Hazel
Thanks for thinking of me. I am honoured.
Have a nice day. :)
