Simple Life Lessons
Here's something that I found in my archives worth sharing ....
1 Accept that some days you're the pigeon, and some days you're the statue.
2 Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them. (yeah! like that guy who called bloggers "monkeys" and then finally became one himself ... read here).
3 Always read stuff that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it.
4 Drive carefully -- it's not only cars that can be recalled by their Maker.
5 If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague.
6 If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.
7 It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.
8 Never buy a car you can't push.
9 Never put both feet in your mouth at the same time, because then you won't have a leg to stand on.
10 Nobody cares if you can't dance well. Just get up and dance.
11 Since it's the early worm that gets eaten by the bird, sleep late.
13 When everything's coming your way, you're in the wrong lane. (This could be the reason why some people we know lost votes after having too many things coming their way)
14 Birthdays are good for you. The more you have, the longer you live.
15 You may be only one person in the world, but you may also be the world to one person.
16 Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.
17 We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box .
18 A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.

Hi JT, wow! I love this post, made me smile East to West, ha ha.
Love no.8, "buying a car you can't push"! Wonder how many it needs to push mine, ha ha.
And no. 16? "mistakes are too much fun to make only once".
Wish I can make some of my mistakes again, arhaaa ha ha...like dating gorgeous, body to die for Eurasian girls...and THAT! was not a mistake...the mistake was I dated two, but got found out, ha ha, given an ultimatum, surrendered one.
Mistake was dating both who went to same Church.
Ha ha. You have a nice day, JT....always love your humour.
Love your Pastor and the nun story, arhaaa ha ha. Lee.
Hi Lee
I am glad you enjoyed this post (and the last one too). Elections are over. So I had to move away from the pastor and nun. :)
When I read No. 8, I too wonder how many people will it take to push my 'tank' now. haha When I was in Germany, I drove a Smart car. So I knew all it took was one strong person to push it.
No. 16 - hahaha I can imagine your predicament when you were caught. I agree that some mistakes are just too much fun to do just once. ;D
It is all part of the thrills of life and one that will always bring a smile to the face in old age. :)
You keep well, Lee.
Helo JT,
Thanks for sharing this post...lovely words indeed..:)
And thanks for the kind words u dropped at my crib. Am still a work in progress.
As for me..am recovering from flu and cold...have used up a lot of tissues...:)
At the moment can;t sing yet....:)
Excellent, JT!
Nice, nice and nice!
You are master!
Hi Nightwing
Oh you poor thing... I hope you recover soon - to your good old singing self. :) Then again, some people have sexy singing voices when they have the flu. Ever tried it? Only thing is, straining that voice box will cause one to cough excessively.
This reminds me of one of "Friends" episodes when Phoebe insisted on performing at the coffee house even though she was coughing her lungs out. :)
Thanks for dropping by... and although you say you are a work in progress, you are already showing promising results. ;)
Hello David
Thank you for such lovely compliments.
I hope you are keeping well. Cheers to you and the good work you do. :)
Hi JT,
U also like 'Friends'? I love it. Last month just bought DVD set on season 10, slowly working my way up on the collection of 'Friends'.
Hehe..i think i remember that episode..:)
Oh ya i also got a tag for you. Hope it is ok.
Hi jt,
What written here makes me smile ... life is sweet , isn't it ???

have a nice day JT (in a sarong)!
hi, thanks for dropping by my blog
JT,
HI there, how are you?
Heh, I can't help but to giggle reading all this :) Sweet piece, JT.
No. 7; it may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others. Hehehe. I think that one somehow mirrors me :P
Have a nice day ya.
Hi Nightwing
Oh yes... Friends is one of my all time favourite comedies. We have re-runs of them here in the States ... everyday! :)
Thanks for tagging me. I will probably do it next week.
Cheers!
Hi Sarinah
Life is sweet, indeed. We may complain about things once in a while but when we take a step back and look at the bigger picture, most of us can be thankful for where we are in life. :)
Thanks for dropping by.
Hello KC
Some politicians, who many do not like, are still around e.g. that 'boy politician' turned monkey blogger. hahaha Of course lah.. mesti kena. I cannot understand (actually can if I bring in other 'factors' .. hehe) how he gained over 5,000 votes after a recount when he was supposed to lose (by a close margin)! Oh well ...
You have a nice day too. :)
Hello Hazel
Nice to see you here. Hope you had a splendid birthday.
Cheers!
Hi Akmal
I am fine, thank you for asking.
You say No. 7 mirrors you ...
Oh yes, you are definitely a warning ... that there is a dangerously charming gentleman out there for the taking! (that's if you are still single. If not, just dangerously charming.) ;)
JT dear :

have a lovely weekend xxxxx:)
Hi JT? I know it's been a while.... yeah...
If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague.
I seriously like this....
Hi JT, I guess you and me, we both sure have some good memories, huh?
As for me, I'm glad I noted my memories in diaries and note books.
To think I almost burnt them when packing to come here.
I was actually squating next to a burner and burning whatever stufff we don't need, then came to my diaries, and holding, looking, as well glancing at the faded pages, when somehow I felt emotional...like destroying everything I had ever enjoyed and changed my mind, kept all of them.
You and me, we may be in settled down in our respective adopted countries, but memories of a home we once knew will always remain.
So long, Lee.
I love this posting :D
Pearly dear,
Thanks for dropping by. I know how it feels to be away for a while and then trying to catch up on things. Take your time. My posts will always be here.
You have a good weekend, my dear. :)
Hello Angel Eyes
Sometimes we have to do that so that the other party does not get offended, right? :) Jaga hati lah
Take care, sweetie.
Hi Lee,
Oh dear, if you had burned all your diaries and note books, we would not be entertained today by your stories of the past. :) I am glad you didn't do it.
I have yet to bring back my photos of yesteryears with me. Got to do that on my next trip home .. along with random notes and poems that I wrote when I was young. I cannot bring myself to throw or burn them. Like you said, it is like "destroying everything I had ever enjoyed". In my case, there were some not so fun times too but that is part of my past and it comes with the package. :)
"Memories of home will always remain."
Hello NJ
Thanks for dropping by here and glad that you like this post. We all could learn something, couldn't we? :D
"You may be only one person in the world, but you may also be the world to one person" -
Don't know why JT, this one strikes something in me. I truly wish to be the world to many persons, but I know, it's too much to ask...
Take care, alright?
Hi Mat Salo
I agree it can be too much to ask but I believe you have your wish granted, even though it may have not been mentioned (or rarely mentioned) to you (apologies if I am being too presumptious here). I am sure you are the world to your family.
... and I won't be surprised if you are already the world to some outside your family. :)
You take care too and hoping to meet you someday soon.
Cheers!
