On a break ... still
I am sure most of your have received this before (as I have) but it is an excuse for me to put in a filler while I am on my break.

1. Why do we press harder on a remote control when we know the batteries are getting dead?
2. Why do banks charge a fee on "insufficient funds" when they know there is not enough money?
3. Why does someone believe you when you say there are four billion stars, but check when you say the paint is wet?
4. Why doesn't glue stick to the bottle?
5. Why do they use sterilized needles for death by lethal injection?
6. Why doesn't Tarzan have a beard?
7. Why does Superman stop bullets with his chest, but ducks when you throw a revolver at him?
8. Why do Kamikaze pilots wear helmets?
9. If people evolved from apes, why are there still apes?
10. Why do people constantly return to the refrigerator with hopes that something new to eat will have materialized?
11. Why do people keep running over a string a dozen times with their vacuum cleaner, then reach down, pick it up, examine it, then put it down to give the vacuum one more chance?
12. How do those dead bugs get into those enclosed light fixtures?
13. In Winter, why do we try to keep the house as warm as it was in Summer, when we complained about the heat in Summer?
14. How come you never hear father-in-law jokes?

I have security. But like all real homes sometimes that don't work too - "jampi" the dog, cut the wires, break the locks and/or windows. So, I'll take a chance like most house dwellers. :)

Oh yes.. the TV. I am in front of that too. A bit too much at times. It is really too hot to be outside.
I can't wait for summer to be over so that I can enjoy outside a little more. I want to do gardening but I have to wait till about 8:00pm when the sun is almost setting to do a quick sweep of the garden and water the plants. I wait for a cloudy day (which is getting rare these days) to do more.
You stay cool too. It is currently 98F here and it is 6pm!

No. 14... that's funny. But you know, generally, we hardly hear of fathers in law being a thorn in some people's lives. I am not saying that all mothers in law are bad. I think mothers tend to be more involved in their children and grandchildren's lives because they are nurturers. Unfortunately, some take it too far. :D
