Thanks for the memories
Although this question relates to Christmas and receiving a gift from Santa, I believe we can use this question to reassess what we have done throughout the year.
2007 has been, on the whole, a good year for me. Although there were occasional hiccups, I choose to celebrate the positive things that took place. Besides moving from country to country which left me a little drained, I entered the exciting world of blogging, thanks to the encouragement of Tony Gayondato. I have to admit that when I first started blogging, I was more active with my posts and visits. It seems like I had more time on my hands. Thus my ability to start a blog. However, as time wore on, other activities seeped in and I had to learn to divide my time. Some days, it feels like I should have my computer room set up this way ....
I have made so many new friends from blogging. Friends who are, more often than not, lovable and encouraging - friends who have helped me journey in this life and made me a better person. I appreciate each and every one who have waltzed into my life ... yes, even the blogger who told me that I am not ambitious. (Read here). I appreciate that moment because it made me realise that I always have choices in life. I choose to believe in myself.
So, have I been naughty or nice?
Well, I heard that nice girls get good gifts from Santa and naughty girls get what's coming from his brother, Chuck. Although I have been fairly nice this year, I would like to say that I've been naughty. (Hello Chuck! yeeha!)
Since I am naughty, there is no sense going back to nice. So, here's something naughty I would like to share from my archives ...
A Christmas Story
'Twas the night before Christmas--Old Santa was pissed.
He cussed out the elves and threw down his list.
Miserable little brats, ungrateful little jerks.
I have a good mind to scrap the whole works!
I've busted my ass for damn near a year,
Instead of 'Thanks Santa'--what do I hear?
The old lady bitches cause I work late at night.
The elves want more money--The reindeer all fight.
Rudolph got drunk and goosed all the maids.
Donner is pregnant and Vixen has AIDS.
And just when I thought that things would get better
Those assholes from the IRS sent me a letter,
They say I owe taxes--if that ain't damn funny
Who the hell ever sent Santa Claus any money?
And the kids these days--they all are the pits
They want the impossible--Those mean little shits
I spent a whole year making wagons and sleds
Assembling dolls...Their arms, legs and heads
I made a ton of yo yo's--No request for them,
They want computers and robots...they think - I'm IBM!
Flying through the air...dodging the trees
Falling down chimneys and skinning my knees
I'm quitting this job there's just no enjoyment
I'll sit on my fat ass and draw unemployment.
There's No Christmas this year now you know the reason,
I found me a blonde. I'm going SOUTH for the season

What a great and meaningful post to end your blogging year, Jacqui. Love the song! I ended up with a broken foot on Thanksgiving day that will stretched through Christmas. Does that mean I have been really naughty all year? Blush. Still, I am hanging on to positive vibes and wish you a Joyful Christmas, Happy New Year and everything nice for 2008!

Thanks for pointing that out about my future post date. I did not realise I had set it for Friday, 14 December. For some strange reason, I kept thinking that today was the 14th. I have to go back and change it.
You can set your posts to future (or past) dates by clicking on 'Post Options' (found at the bottom of the box containing your post, while creating it or editing it). Once you click on 'Post Options', you will find 'Post Date and Time' on the right side. I hope that helps. Email me if you need further help.

As for that Happy Holidays issue, I am as pissed as Santa. hahaha
Seriously, I don't understand either. Why can't they just leave Christmas alone? Those concerned who are not happy about the word 'Christmas', should not even celebrate the season if it offends them so much. It is ironic that they want to enjoy the season (with all the parties and gift giving) but change the name to suit their sensibilities. I think those people concerned should respect the fact that Christmas belongs to Christ.

I think I stopped believing in Santa when I was about 10 years old. I found out daddy was putting the presents under the tree all those years. bummer! hahaha
In a way, I was glad to know the truth because from then on instead of wishing that Santa would bring me what I wanted, I started hinting to mummy so that she would tell daddy. :D
As for my trip home, I am trying to make it around Easter. Hopefully it goes as planned.
How tall am I? I really don't know the exact number because I have had conflicting measurements in the past - sometimes I am 5'4" and sometimes 5'5". Either all rulers are not created equal or my growth has fluctuated. hahaha
Don't worry ... with me, you won't have to wear heels. I like moving around in flats. The only time I wear heels is when I know I will be sitting down for a few hours e.g. dinner. If the evening involves dancing - low heels. :)
I would love to meet up with you. That's a promise. It will be nice to finally meet in person.
