Mee Rebus at Kak Ton's ...
Zorro, Elviza and me
Elviza and I arrived later than the rest (oh yeah... Husnah was also late). By the time we got down to eating the bestest mee rebus in the world, Kak Ton had a couple of halved hard boiled eggs left. I believe Husnah had one and the other was going to Zorro (a second round, I suspect). When Zorro declined (good for him ... haha), Kak Ton offered it to me. I happily announced that I now have Zorro's telur in my hands.

That was one heck of a makan-makan holiday wasn't it? ;)
Hello JT,
Yay!! You beat me to it (got a small hint on Facebook that you posted a blog..he he). But this is great as I thought it is better that you gave us your own narration of your lovely visit home.
I sure am glad we met finally. There's always the niggling fear things might crop up last minute and hijacked any meeting! We were committed, though short, it was enough to connect and get to know each other better. Our meeting confirmed you are such a lovely, down to earth person who is full of humility but full of spirit and that makes you easy and fun to be with.
What beautiful photos you have posted here and it was obvious you had a blast of a time during your stay back home especially with the bloggers Pi, Daphne, Elviza and all. Good on ya.
Very envious of you JT, so lucky to get to meet your friends & family! and u hv your best budd with u there now, wow enjoy babe! Glad u r back, thx for sharing those photos made me smile.
Hi Pi
It was definitely a 'makan-makan' holiday amidst my busy schedule. Dah puas. :D
Hi Ruby
Yeah, I thought I was not able to blog (and urged you to post our pic) but everyday when I looked at my site, I felt compelled to say something, if not, just post some of my favourite pictures (and let them tell the story).
I am equally glad that we finally met. We cut it real close, didn't we? Almost called it off ... again. Pity I could not stay longer than 1 hour as I would have loved to 'pick your brain' and share some of my insights on all sorts of stuff. :)
Thanks for the lovely and flattering comments about me. blushing
I had a great time. Wish I could have met more people but time and my other commitments did not allow me to be as flexible as I thought I would be. Hopefully on my next visit it will be more leisurely paced (wishful thinking! haha)
Thanks for dropping by.
Hi Mush
You will have your chance too. We all make it a point to visit family and friends ... no matter how long it takes. Mine was overdue as I kept postponing my trip from late last year.
It was a good holiday and I am glad to be back. I need my routine again. :)
Hey Jacqui,
It was nice to finally meet you! I always pictured you to sound a little more English-y ;) But whatever it is, nice to meet you after such a long time just chatting on MSN, blogs and email...You take care now =)
*Hugs*
nice trip..happy holidays
Hey Daphne
Oh my... me English-y? Far from it, as you have discovered. :D
It was great to have finally met you too, not once but twice. Thanks to Pi Bani who brought you down from Ipoh for mee rebus Tuesday.
You take care too. *hugs*
Hello Hazel
Thank you. It was a good holiday.
Take care now.
Hey Jacqui, Welcome back.. What lovely pictures! :):)
Will read the Lady Patsy's post too. Have fun you two.
wow jt looks like you had a wonderful time! and guess what my holidays pix back home recently looked like yoirs as well - mostly with blogger friends. welcome back to the world of blogging.
jt,
I must kick my butt several times for not being able to be in KL when you were there. Love your take on MRT at Kak Ton's place. See how different things look from another persons perspective? It's always enjoyable.
Please blog more on your stay at E & O Hotel as U Lee will sure love to see the new look E & O after the makeovers. (Didn't know that your forefathers built the hotel. I guess they must have given you a complimentary room hehehehe).
Hopefully your next trip will reach the shores of Kelantan.
Thanks for the lovely post.
Dearest JT...
It's a dream come true to finally meet you in person...I have been visualising you in your so caucasian look with blue eyes you know and the first time we met at the Curve you look not even like that and you look so Malaysian...hahaha (don't be mad ya)
I'm so happy that we met again at MRT and reading your recollection makes my heart grow fonder of you-lah fren....
Well, I mimpi2 nak jumap Kak Ruby...thought of joining you two at KLCC that day, but you knowlah work in the office, can't just drop them like that.
take care okay. *hugs*
Hey Rashi
Thanks! It is good to be back. It sure has been a long time since we dropped by each other's blogs.
Go check out Pat's blog, I assure you, it won't take more than 10 seconds to read her post. ;)
See ya around.
Hi Kak Teh
Oh yes, I did have a wonderful time. As much as I wanted to meet more blogger friends and old school friends, time (and transport challenges) just did not permit me to do so.
I certainly had my fill of local delicacies. That should take care of my cravings for a while. :D
Hello Zawi
Because we are all made differently, we will usually have a different view of any gathering.
When Pat and I were at E&O Hotel, I thought of U.Lee (and his stories). :) I also thought of blogging more about it but I decided to put it off ... for now. I am having a bad cough and cold and can hardly muster the energy to think and write. Hope to get over this soon or I will not be able to be enjoy my holiday with Pat here.
My forefathers may not have built that hotel but I have a strong feeling that my great great grandfather walked through those corridors (if not stayed there) when he had to attend government meetings in Penang back in the late 1800s.
(a complimentary room for us would have been a real treat!) :D
I also hope to make it to Kelantan the next time I go home.
Hi Dalilah
Alamak! How did you visualise me to be so caucasian looking (with blue eyes somemore)? My photos in my blog did not show that at all. :)
It was great to finally meet you.. not once but twice (like Daphne). I must thank Galadriel for bringing me to the Curve and Elviza for the rides to Kak Ton's house. If not, I would have missed out on meeting the bloggers present there.
You take care too. *hugs*
Dearest Jac,
Aaaahh... thats how lady patsy looks like :-)
Hello L Patsy.
Good that you are assuming on your routine though. Despite complaining about my routine, I can't function without one. How typical
Hi Elviza
Lady Patsy says hi in return. :)
We all need our routine, don't we? Creatures of habit!
HI JT, Holy Smoke, and I thought you still galavanting in Klang or KL or Penang. Wow! You stayed at the E&), huh?
And you met the well known bloggers too. Gosh, really nice to see the who is who in your well taken photos.
Like the one of you and RA...Levis or whichever designer should pay you guys royalty.
Hey, thats a beautiful profile pic of you. And that last photo, you in red. Always knew you look good in red, ha ha.
Have fun with your visitor, Lee.
Welcome back, Jacqui! ... I am glad that you had a fulfilling trip in more ways than one and that your bags did not make a detour. Your photos do tell good stories, especially at Kak Ton's MRT - wide smiles all around, everyone having a gala time. Those of us who can't attend feel like we're there. :)
Looking forward to more updates with a hearty Hi to Lady Patsy.
JT, i still envy u, u kno? balik msia cuti and now tht LP is w u for the next 2 weeks, seems like the holiday continues ya? ;)
wah...manyak happy lorr. so u made the trip back home and managed to spend time with the A-list bloggers eh? i dont fall into that category...uhuk uhuk.
keep on smiling JT.
Hai JT,
Good to see that you are safely back to your wonderland.
Glad that we met despite its rather short glancing blow at Asam Pedas. Your burger & big fries shots made me rush to the nearest Burger King !!!
That must had been a wonderful trip, meeting fellow bloggers, and I am sure lots of makan too.
And those fries looks yummy. Nothing like those skinny ones we have over here.
Hi J.T.,
Welcome back! It's nice to see holiday pictures of others. And you were able to meet up with so many bloggers, too. When I saw you were at E&O, I was wondering if you and Uncle Lee made arrangements to meet there!! Have a lovely time with Lady Patsy.
Hi Lee
Oh yeah... Pat and I decided to give ourselves a treat and stay at E&O. We love the old charm of that establishment.
It was also an honour and a treat to meet some of the bloggers. It would not have been possible for me if they did not make the effort to get together. I am grateful for that.
Glad you like the photo of RA and me. It was a joy to spend time with her... although it was hardly an hour and I had to be on my way.
Thanks for the compliments on my photos.
Hi Rita
I was glad when I saw my bag at the port of entry (Dallas) and on the belt at my final destination. :D I would hate to have some good stuff from Malaysia misplaced with my bag.
Lady Patsy says hi to you. We are at the tail end of our holiday here in the States. Hopefully I can get back to blogging soon. Right now, I am trying to catch up with a lot of things that have been left off for more than a month.
More later... :)
Hi Farina (Salt & Turmeric)
Aiyah... don't envy lah. You are also on a good break, aren't you? :)
LP and I just returned from Austin and San Antonio and had a blast of a time on a long road trip. Pat says she felt like we were Thelma and Louise... only thing is we did not commit any crimes. We were good gals. :D
Hi KC
I did not know that there was an A-list for bloggers. :)
As mentioned above to U.Lee, I would not have had the opportunity to meet with some of the bloggers, whom I have been in touch with for months, if they did not make the effort to get together in one place. They made it easier for me.
Have a great day, KC. :)
Hi Jaflam
So nice of you to drop by. Welcome!
It was good to meet you too. The group at Asam Pedas was certainly large and though it was just a few moments that we exchanged our "hellos", it was memorable enough for me.
Speaking of burgers and fries, Pat and I have been stuffing ourselves with lots of fast food the past two weeks. We told ourselves that we have to get off America's favourite diet and return to sensible eating. :P
Have a great day and see you around.
Hello Aiyah Nyonya
It was a wonderful trip and a treat to meet bloggers whom I only knew through the blogosphere.
I stuffed myself with lovely local delicacies.
Those fries in the picture were larger than the ones we are used to. Not all fast food establishments serve it that way. Mostly we get thick ones at restaurants. When I get those kind of fries, it is a meal in itself for me. Now, I feel full just looking at them. :D
Hi Dawn
I could not help but think of U.Lee and his stories of yesteryears which involved scenarios at E&O. I can now imagine the dancing that took place there. :)
It would have been nicer if he was there. :P
Hey JT.. did you put on..y'know.. heh. But worth it lah. Glad you had a great time back home!
My internet on the ship's down a lot. *Sigh* Resorting to 'stealing' the client's line so I'm forced to lie low for a while. Say hi to Lady Patsy for me.
Till we meet again...
Hi MS
Did I put on ... weight?? :)
Sure did! It was worth it cos' I got to eat all the dishes I missed for more than a year. (P.S. continued feasting with Lady Patsy in town).
I have been so busy that I have not visited some blogs in days. Pat has returned to Malaysia. Time to catch up on some routine i.e. blogging, house work, etc.
Till we meet again, MS. :)
Cool..Lady Patsy is visiting you....hope she will enjoy her trip..:)
Please give her my regards.
So good of you to meet up with top bloggers in mlaysia....:)
So nice...
Thanks for sharing the photos.:)
I agree. goin for a long drive w a gf is more fun. I used to do tht in msia w my gfs. Man, we stopped at almost all stalls fr keropok lekor to durian stalls! lol. you def cannot do tht when driving w a guy. itl drive them crazy!
Hi Nightwing
Lady Patsy enjoyed her trip very much. She has posted her pictures in Facebook. She seems more active there than in her own blog. :) I guess Facebook is more fun at the moment, huh?
It was an honour to meet those wonderful bloggers. It would not have been possible if I had to meet everyone individually.I had fun getting to know them. Pity that you are so far away from KL, if not, I would have met you too.
Hi Farina
LOL.. you are so right. Girls tend to be a little more open to sight seeing and checking out stuff on the way to a destination. Men usually like to get from point A to point B ... pronto. However, I have known a guy or two who got suckered into making numerous pit stops. They never said they did not enjoy it but who knows what they were thinking quietly. :)
