Happy Mother's Day
(Christie Sta. Maria-Tegjeu; 2nd September 1934-13th February 2006)HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY
(Wanda Barker; 13th April 1933 - 22nd September 2003)Happy Mother's Day to all mothers,
wherever you may be....

A Mother's Love Determines How
A mother's love determines how
We love ourselves and others.
There is no sky we'll ever see
Not lit by that first love.
Stripped of love, the universe
Would drive us mad with pain;
But we are born into a world
That greets our cries with joy.
How much I owe you for the kiss
That told me who I was!
The greatest gift--a love of life--
Lay laughing in your eyes.
Because of you my world still has
The soft grace of your smile;
And every wind of fortune bears
The scent of your caress
- Turlough O'Carolan

"I brought you into this world, and I can take you out."

Yippie! I can load your blog again! That was indeed, a very profound dedication...Our mother's are not just our well, erm, mothers huh? They're our friends (best friends!), fashion advisor and critic, our biggest fans and at times, 'opposer', our confidantes, teacher and nurturer...At least mine is...=)Take care, and I hope you had a nice duck last night ;)
Zewt - Thank you. I hope you have a good weekend. Remember, no one truly dies. They just live on in the hearts who love them.
Daphne - Glad you got into my blog again. I hope your upgrade was not too much of a headache. Now you can have lots of fun with pictures, playing with a new template, etc.
Re mothers.. to me they include everyone who has had some responsibility in bringing up, nurturing and caring for little ones. I may not have my own but my niece (also my god daughter) and my nephew are so precious to me.
So, Happy Mother's Day to you.
P.S. The roast duck was good. I had it on a bed of greens, grapes, cranberries and cucumbers. yummmm. ;)
