Happy Father's Day
10. Well, how 'bout that?... I'm lost! Looks like we'll have to stop and ask for directions.
9. You know Pumpkin, now that you're thirteen, you'll be ready for unchaperoned car dates. Won't that be fun?
8. I noticed that all your friends have a certain "up yours" attitude ... I like that.
7. Here's a credit card and the keys to my new car -- GO CRAZY.
6. What do you mean you wanna play football? Figure skating not good enough for you, son?
5. Your Mother and I are going away for the weekend ... you might want to consider throwing a party.
4. Well, I don't know what's wrong with your car. Probably one of those doo-hickey thingies -- you know -- that makes it run or something. Just have it towed to a mechanic and pay whatever he asks.
3. No son of mine is going to live under this roof without an earring -- now quit your belly-aching, and let's go to the mall.
2. Whaddya wanna go and get a job for? I make plenty of money for you to spend.
1. Father's Day? aahh -- don't worry about that -- it's no big deal.

Son: Is it true? Dad, I heard that in ancient China, a man doesn't know his wife until he marries.
Father: That happens everywhere, son, everywhere!

Happy father's day to ur daddy too j.t. He will be smiling from above, very proud of u, his daughter.
I understand totally the no. 1 thing that u mentioned in ur list. My daddy always say, "its ok lah, never mind, dont bother..." when you actually remember esp his birthday, father's day..that whole day, u can see he's smiling so wide that u know he's so proud and throughly enjoying the fact that you guys (the children) remembered and did something for him :)
have a great weekend j.t :)
Daughter: "Daddy, did anyone ever tell you that you're the best daddy in the world?"
Father: "Well, no..." (flattered)
Daughter: "Then whatever gave you the idea?"
Thank you, Winnie. :)
I agree with you about no. 1. They do appreciate it when you remember their special days.
Mine is No. 8. My dad always had a lot of opinions about our friends. Most of our friends passed his tests. But woe to any of us who brought back one you had the 'up yours' attitude. That friend had to kiss goodbye to any friendship with us children. ;)
Oh Pi Bani,
You always come up with something. That was funny. :D
Enjoy your weekend.
hahahaha! i am going to send the jokes you have posted hre to MrJ from BabyJ's email address!
luvvit!
Hehe! Love the picture at the end ;-)
Hello MsJ
That is so cute - BabyJ has an email address. He is ahead of the game already. :D
Wishing you a wonderful father's day with the J-men.
ColourMeCrazy,
It is cute, ain't it? :D
I just realised that father needs as much attention as mother. My MIL told us that when hubby sang a song to my FIL during a father's day, he was so happy the whole day. As for my father, he always eager to get treated a nice meal from kids.
Bee,
Men, on the whole, never say much but they do feel. I am sure they appreciate little gestures like being treated to a meal or buying a gift they really like and want. :)
Hi, I bloghopping fr Loveujordan,
Happy Father's Day to All Men....
The picture at the end..so cute..
Hello Nurazzah,
Thank you for your visit and comments.
I like the poem you posted on your blog. Beautiful. :)
Dear JT,
A very Happy Father's Day to your wonderful dad, and all the wonderful dad's in the world!
Haha...My dad gave me a credit card, and he never complains when I spend (I'm very very careful)...
Actually, in my house, it's always: Why you so stingy? Eat properly! Go buy anything* you want. Got credit card, don't want to use!
*I do my grocery shopping on my own, so to make it easier and safer than carrying cash, I charge it straight to the card...
Dear Daphne Ling ;)
So, that is why you have a credit card - to buy your food. Yeah, it is safer to carry a card and than lots of cash for grocery shopping.
You have written a loving tribute to your "dada" in your blog.
You know, you don't even have to use your credit card for other things. Say the word and he will get anything for you. :)
let me tumpang your space to wish all the poppa's in the world a 'HAPPY FATHER'S DAY'.
and j.t. i think alot of men still doesn't know the wife AFTER he married her. :)
Hi Nyonya
You are right! A lot of men are still clueless into the marriage. :D
Poor fellows. Get wished for Father's Day and then get 'bashed'. It never ends. hahaha
"My way" is one of my all-time favourite songs. Especially karaoke!
It's nice to have a day for us dads.
Theres lots of man and some father's are actually cool and cool enough to say the things you says. Don't judge. Next time only refer to your dad would be nice! ANd looks like ther is another Daphne on your page :U
Hello Tunku Halim
"My Way" was my dad's favourite too. I like singing it at karaokes but only if it is not in an open room. :D
Happy Father's Day TH. :)
hapyy father's day to all daddies in the world!
Hello Daphne (the other one) .. :D
Welcome back. I agree with you, there are lots of men and some fathers who are super cool. My dad, though strict, was a cool man too. I have shared about my dad before. :)
Oh yes.. I have also paid tribute to men too.
Thanks for your concern once again. Appreciate it. Have a good weekend and Happy Father's Day to all the fathers in your family. :)
Hola Suzequatro,
Thank you very much for visiting me (all the way from Puerto Rico) and the wishes for all daddies in the world. Appreciate it very much. :)
And I wish all the fathers in your family a Happy Father's Day too. Have a wonderful weekend. Do visit again.
I really miss your dad too. He has always been a favorite grand uncle..I seem to have this memory of him getting me to play 'signatures'..the game is simple, he signs on a piece of paper and then tells me to copy it..so there I go like a dunggu trying to copy it. I guess it was his way to shut me up from doing anything naughty..haha..
Haih, he was a wonderful man..admired him so much. We all miss him dearly indeed.
I miss my late dad, this song and your entry make me sob.....
Hi JT,
Thanks for the greeting.
JT,
Just a flying visit before I retire to bed! Have just managed to update my blog a little, so is on a mission to visit friend's blogs now. Will come again soon to run through your new posts.
BTW how do you make the imeem music play automatically? Mine doesn't seem to be able to do that.
Hi Melissa
So, that's what my dad was busy doing with you. :)
If he were alive today, he would probably still get you to do something with a pen and paper. Be ready for Word Power challenge from Reader's Digest. That was his favourite.
Now that you have mentioned it, Melissa, dad had an interest in reading signatures and/or handwriting. He studied characters through them. hmm..
However, if you were still little, that was probably just to keep you quiet. haha (kidding!) You were are a sweet girl and I truly believe he enjoyed spending time with you. :)
Happy Father's Day to your dad (the one that teased me when I was a teenager!) :)
Sarinah (LUJ),
I know you miss your dad. The posting you did on him not too long ago spoke a lot of your close relationship with him.
That song, "My Way", was my dad's favourite. I learned to play it on the piano for him. Miss him whenever I hear that song or play it.
Hello Tony (SUP),
Hope you are having a great day with your beautiful family.
Cheers!
Blueberry,
Happy that you stopped by. Hope you had a good weekend.
As for playing that music automatically, look a small box next to the word "autoplay". It is on the right side of the box that contains the HTML code for the song. Check that box for "autoplay" and then copy the HTML code over. Please email me (address in profile) if you need further help. :)
"Father: That happens everywhere, son, everywhere!"
True. True. Soooooooo true.
Happy Father's Day to all the Fathers in your life. :-)
I like the song you have on... beyond the sea...
Hello Bernard,
Welcome to my blog. Thanks for visiting. :)
Happy Father's Day to you and the fathers in your life too.
As for song, it is one of my favourites. There are many versions and all of them have pleased me. It's so upbeat.
I took a peek at your blog a minute ago. Interesting. I will return. Thank you Dr. Bernard Chan. :)
JT, with a daughter like u, ur dad wud be smiling fr heaven. :)
talking abt boys, once when i was maybe 20, a guy fren came over to the hse to pick me up. my dad "grilled" him and in the end i stil didn get to go out.
Hello Princess
Thank you for the compliment, dear. :)
Wow.. your dad 'grilled' the guy. Must have been tough for him. Did you eventually get to go out with anyone? After a while, dads do let go but with lots of reservations. :)
Did you know my sister and I hardly got asked to dance at parties because they were afraid of my dad (police)? I guess his uniform kept the naughty ones at bay. haha We only danced with guys who knew dad personally.
Later in life, when I did come across the 'bad boys', they were out of my life very quickly. :)
(Dad's warnings stayed with me).
