Tagged!
I was tagged by Ruby Ahmad, who was tagged by Raden Galoh, who was tagged by Idham. Anyway, he is planning to compile as many tags/memes as possible by 26th August, for which every tag/meme, he will contribute RM127 to Darul Izzah Orphanage.
The meme is about completing at least seventeen out of the following twenty seven sentences.
I am on a partial break but for the sake of the children, here's my contribution:
1. A person is only as good as ... what he does not portray of himself.
2. Friendship is always ... something that keeps one going.
3. To love is to ... feel and act on it.
4. Money makes me ... wonder and wander.
5. I miss ... my parents who are gone from this world and my family and friends in Malaysia.
6. My way of saying I care is by ... reaching out.
7. I try to spread love and happiness by... sharing.
8. Pick the flowers when ... you really cannot resist it. If not, let it be. They flourish in their natural state.
9. To love someone is to ... feel it and prove it - not only by words but by action.
10. Beauty is ... in the eye of the beholder.

11. When I was thirteen, what I remember the most was ... asking daddy when can I start playing the piano.
12. When I was twenty one, I remember... asking myself why did I start playing the piano (practical exams are hard!)
13. I am most happy when ... loved ones are happy.
14. Nothing makes me happier than ... seeing a loved one happy.
15. If I can change one thing, I will change ... nothing. Every experience in life, good or bad, comes with a lesson. We learn, we grow.
17. Wouldn't it be nice if we could ... have some people retire from public office? They were there when I started my secondary school education... they are still there 27 years later. How come some don't look aged and/or bald? Oh yeah.. money buys many things.
18. If you want to ... flatter someone.. then you have to ... be sincere about it.
"He that flatters you more than you desire either has deceived you or wishes to deceive.” - Italian proverb
19. Money is not everything but ... something that can affect a person's mind, body and/or spirit.
20. The most touching moment I have experienced is ... something that will stay in my heart.
21. I smile when ... ever I am happy.
22. When I am happy, I ... smile.
23. If only I don't have to ... sleep ... then... I can catch up with my reading and cross stitching.
24. The best thing I did yesterday was ... turning a negative thought into something positive.
25. If I ever write a book, I will give it this title ... "An Unforgettable Past"
26. One thing I must do before I die is ... make sure no sad songs are played at my funeral. Every song must be upbeat. If a sad song is played, I will haunt the person who suggested it.
27. Doing this meme, I feel like ... this deed goes beyond words.
I usually do not impose a tag on anyone. However, since Lady Patsy now owes me a tag from the past, I hope she picks up on this one. (woo hoo! she did..)

Hi Pearly
Thank you, dear. You are too kind... I do believe there are kinder and more thoughtful people out there ... like you.
About the recipe you tried to post yesterday, I emailed you about it. :)
Thanks for recipe. As soon as I find a free day soon, I will try it. A bit kelam-kabut the past few days. :D
your #11 and #12 is hilarious!!!
did oyu have to play Dixieland as one of your first piono pieces???
MsJ,
Oh yes, Dixieland was one of the first ones - easy fingering, one hand.
Before I knew it, I had to apply both hands to the keys, followed by teacher screaming at me for not following techniques. Her blood pressure must have returned to normal after I left the music school. haha
Hi JT,
Thank you so much for being so kind as to participate in this tag. So lovely of you.
No 15 is a good answer, as to be honest whatever happened has made the person that you are now.
No 17 is hilarious. I like that. I have a couple in mind too..he he.
No 18 I agree with this 100%. People will sense it if you're genuine or not. For me, if I prefer not to say it if I di not mean it. Easier that way.
No 25 I can;t wait for that book JT..ha ha.
Enjoyed your's dear. It is amazing how 27 questions could have different takes. Cheers.
Its true what you said about no.9. But once in a while, I would want to hear the words. It'll definitely put a smile to my face :)
Hi JT, Sentmentality your middle name I can see reading your well thought of thoughts.
Keep well, JT. Lee.
Ooooh... I sure wouldn't want to suggest to anyone to play a sad song at your funeral... :)
Imagine attending a funeral and the song goes... "Play that funky music..."
This meme is amazing!
Maybe i should consider putting this on my blog too? What d'ya think dear?
I like the "turning a negative thought into something positive"... only last week that I did this 'turning' thing after so long... and I felt so good after that.
Hi Ruby,
Thank you so much for tagging me. It was my pleasure, dear. :)
I have a whole bunch of people in mind with no. 17. If I meet them in person I might just tell them, "Retire already! What you are you waiting for? There are younger people with fresher ideas and dreams for our future. Let them have a hand in it." :)
Yah... it is amazing how everyone approaches these 27 questions differently (or almost). Seems like this one was created to test personalities. :D
Trueblue,
Of course, I don't deny that we need to hear it too. It will definitely light up one's day.
I will re-word it. I was viewing it from the point where words are generously poured out but actions prove otherwise. It is the small things that are done freely and willingly than spells more love.
Good point Trueblue. Thank you. :)
Hey JT,
Finally logged on!
"16. If smiles were ... an indication of an unstable mind, then I .. would be considered deranged"
Oh dear...Do MSN smileys and emoticons count? Cos then we'd all be deranged and locked-up!
*Hugs*
Hi U.Lee,
You read a person well.
That's one of your many wonderful qualities. It shows in your interesting postings on life, love and people. :)
You keep well too, Lee.
Pi,
"Play that funky music" - great song!
Here are some suggestions:
1. Great Balls of Fire - an indication of my place in hell.
2. Another Bites the Dust
3. Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go
..And everyone must do the Macarena.
Hey Angel dear,
Go ahead and do it. After all, it is for charity. Just be sure to leave word in Idham's blog that you have done the tag so that he can put another RM127 towards his contribution. :)
I would love to read your thoughts. Looking forward to it.
Hi Sarinah (LUJ)
Oh yes, when we turn negative thoughts to positive, it does make us feel better. Dwelling in the negative only stagnates our growth.
Sometimes it is not easy to do but when we overcome it, the heart feels lighter. :)
Hey Daphne Ling,
I'm afraid our MSN smileys and emoticons do count. hahaha
We've been going crazy with that, huh?
I will be your cell-mate anytime. :D
*hugs*
Hi JT,
Wishing you both a belated Anniversary. All the best. Saw this on U. Lee's. Take care.
Hi JT, yesterday had to do a quickie with you, I mean that 3 sentences as had to run out get milk for my coffee, forgot earlier.
Now ada time, I read your interesting version again, hmmmm, cannot resist do the twist here with you...
Your nos....
1/ A person is only as good as..? The number of names in his little 15 cents notebook.
3/ To love is to ? Avoid giving a girl my initialed hanky or tissue.
5/ I miss? Ahh, my Form 5 lady science teacher in her high slit cheong sum. (I managed to pass anyway!)
6/ My way of saying I care?
Buy her mother presents.
9/ To love someone is to..?get invitation to their house for dinner.
21/ I smile..? When she smiles.
23/ If only I don't have to sleep..? Ahh, then can continue what I was doing..again.
JT, you be cool, Lee.
Hey JT, I liked this one - If smiles were ... an indication of an unstable mind, then I .. would be considered deranged. :)
Hi Ruby
Oh thank you, dear. You take care too. :)
You are a people person j.t. and you do,think and feel alot with your heart too :) I agree with Uncle Lee, you are sentimental lady :)
take care...
Hi Lee,
Alamak! Reading the first part of your comment now reminds me that I forgot to buy milk again. I just returned from the store with everything else but the milk. I guess no cereal tomorrow morning. :P
Here are my remarks to some of your comments: (I was so tickled I could not resist adding on ... in jest only)
1/ A person is only as good as the number of names in his little 15 cents notebook.
...and the more positive remarks he puts next to that girl's name, the more we can tell what he has been up to. :D
3/ To love is to avoid giving a girl my initialed hanky or tissue.
...Indeed and thank your lucky stars you did not date in the era of internet and blogging, or you may find a photo of your initialed hanky online with a full-blown heartache story :D
6/ My way of saying I care .. Buy her mother presents.
... and the rest of the family pisang goreng :)
9/ To love someone is to..get invitation to their house for dinner.
... and when they start talking about topics you wish to avoid - like marriage and babies, you look up at the ceiling and start talking about cicaks. :D
Thanks for dropping by again. Appreciate it. :) You take care, Lee.
Hi Rashikaps,
I have been told that I smile a lot and I believe that some people do think that I am "cuckoo". :P
If I smile for no reason in Malaysia, I get a funny look in return .. like they are not sure whether they should smile back or not. haha
That was a great tag. I especially liked number 21 & 22!
And you played the piano for 7 years??! Do you still play?
Hello Winnie,
More often than not, my heart rules my head. Good or bad.. depends on the situation. :)
Very insightful of you. Thanks.
Colourmecrazy,
Thank you for the compliments.
I attended piano classes for 10 years. When I started working, I found it hard to concentrate on the grade 8. I had to repeat that grade for two years - trying to pass the practical exams.
I don't have a piano with me now but I do play it when I visit family in Malaysia.
Here, I keep up with what I learned by playing the keyboards. It is a little more fun because of the tempo and rhythms but I won't deny that I miss playing some classical and 'oldies' pieces on the piano. :)
:) JT...I will echo Ruby...thanks for being so kind and being such a sport...
read and enjoyed ur responces...
"unforgetble past" will be a best seller!
thanks again...and best wishes,
idham
Hi JT, wa...my Ninjalogy you suda belajar very well, huh? Avoid baby talk, marraige Ha ha. Itu suma very sensitive issues.
Otherwise how to make other girls happy. I'm not selfish, you know, ARHAAA HA HA.
By the way, Germany ada chichaks?
Heh heh, buy family goreng pisang...that fellow at Chow Kit road I think I helped him retire early la, when dating the gorgeous Malay girls at Kampong Baru or Setapak, sure buy from him give the parents, and the putu pirings. When dating daughters, first tackle the parents, then the jalan very smooth like Autobahn. Psssst, no speed limit too. Heh heh.
Re Internet romances, eeeee, lucky my time use abacus, as time is of the essence where chasing skirts are involved, ha ha.
Wa, if date via Internet, wait 3 years before jumpa her? And other girls still available...tsk tsk tsk...susa la. Ha ha.
Just kidding, Have a nice day, JT. Lee.
Idham,
It was my pleasure doing this tag.
Thanks and all the best to you. :)
Hello Lee,
Strangely enough, I have not seen cicaks in Germany. At least, not in the houses we lived in.
That fellow at Chow Kit road selling pisang goreng must be driving a Mercedes by now. hahaha
Wah.. you mentioned putu piring, now I thinking of it. yumm...
I used to like the same kind but shaped like bolster. putu bambu - I'm not sure if I got the name right.
If you did internet dating, you won't have a chance to sweep the ladies off their feet with your ballroom dancing skills. Where can tango online? Other kinds of 'tango' got lah! hahaha
Darling Jt...we seem to have the similar mind on certain things...see, our answers are more or less the same or in similar context in some of those...
Thank for sharing. This meme surely brings out the love and passion in us, sis!
take care, have a good weekend and love dearly!
Raden dear,
Yes, I've noticed that too. Maybe our being born in the year of the sheep has got something to do with it... or great minds think alike. :D
You take care too and have a good weekend. :)
