And now, the end is near...

When Zorro challenged me to write as if it were my last posting, I wondered what I should write. It has been more than four hours and I still have no idea.

Hey! wait a minute... I just got it. Silly me. I thought I had to write as though it were my last day on earth. It is not. Last posting means I don't get to publish my postings anymore. (duh!) With that imagined impending doom in mind, here's my wish for the world:

1. Peace on earth, goodwill toward men. This is not just a wish reserved for Christmas time. I really mean it for any time of the year. Peace begins at home. If one carries peace in one's heart out to the world, then goodwill comes naturally.

2. Be imaginative. Imagination opens doors to many possibilities. Positive imaginations can lead to a better world.

3. Smile... and the whole world smiles with you. Enough said.

4. Laugh. Learn to laugh at yourself. Be light and happy. Learn to see the lighter side of things. Learn to laugh at tough situations (as difficult as it may seem) but please do not laugh at the expense of someone else's dignity.

Mirth is God's medicine. Everybody ought to bathe in it. ~Henry Ward Beecher

Laughter is an instant vacation. ~ Milton Berle

Laughter is the shortest distance between two people. ~Victor Borge
Seven days without laughter makes one weak. ~Mort Walker

5. Believe in a higher power.... and I don't mean the government. I mean God. He brought you into this world. He has the power to take you out too!

The government is merely a servant -- merely a temporary servant; it cannot be its prerogative to determine what is right and what is wrong, and decide who is a patriot and who isn't. Its function is to obey orders, not originate them. - Mark Twain

There you go. My top five wishes for the world. Now, I would love turn this challenge over to:

1. Lady Patsy - Lady Patsy's Chambers

2. sYaNa - s'ayS Maze

Back to basics huh....a universal and timely reminder to all. Time and time again someone has to remind us that we make things hard when it is so simple. Thanks for this reminder. Ciao and have a good weekend in Munich. Pity Bayern lost to AC Milan.

Urbanmonk, thank you. Glad I was able to help you.

Zorro, I am home already. Munich was two days ago. Thanks for the good wishes, anyway. ;)I had a pleasant time catching up with my cousin and her baby.
It is true that we tend to forget the simple things in life.

Syana, looking forward to reading your 'last' post.

Politikus, I will be reading your 'last' blog soon.

Walski69, thanks for the compliment. Looking forward to having you back.

Simah, this won't be my last post. Pretend only lah... that was just a challenge from Zorro and urbanmonk. Blogging is so much a part of my life now that I have put aside my cross stitching projects!

Dearest Jacqui,

I clicked on your blog through, hmm Zorro, I think. Not too sure.

But, good blog & pixs you have here my friend! I ll keep on reading you. Keep up the good job.

Have you met Zorro in person? You absolutely must, he is on of the most compassionate person I have the privilege to meet.

Lady Patsy, I am a blog-addict. Not so much doing up my stuff but hopping around reading other people's stuff. Thanks for the compliments. Appreciate it very much. I have been neglecting my cross stitching and book-readings.

Elviza, thanks for the compliments too. Looking forward to seeing around here again.
I have not met Zorro in person but he sure does sound like a wonderful person. Someday when I return to Malaysia for another vacation, meeting some bloggers will be on my itinerary. The only blogger I have met in person is Stand Up Philosopher, Tony Gayondato (who introduced me to blogging); and of course, my best friend, Pat of Lady Patsy's Chambers.

Hi JT,
love your post la. And the pix..wow really really nice. Thanx for the message too. Often we get tied up with so many trivial things that we forget the basics..to live with common sense.
Have a great day my friend JT.
