Ah, what would the world be without the Ah Bengs and the Ah Lians? Have a safe trip and hurry back ... your fans will miss you.
Where got fans lah? I am just glad got people come in and look, see, look see. If they want to 'komen', orso can.
I'd better change my way of talking. Don't wish to confuse any Germans tomorrow should I make pit stops along the way.
"Ah this one how much ah?", asks Jacqui.
"Sprechen Sie English?", the shop owner asks in return.
Wah... u go and come ah.... don't forget to bring your barger and drop by kalah ok ah...
have a nice trip !!
btw, I watched kak teh on wwitv but the line wasn't very good... well at least now I know where to watch m'sian tv, tq j.t.
LUJordan, oh don't mention it. Glad to help another Malaysian trying to feel a bit of home through TV.
The streaming was pretty good over in Germany and so I managed to watch the whole segment of Galeri Perdana on RTM 1.(not showing off ah, don't upset one... just lucky today. Some days streaming media can be a pain)
At least lah we get to watch some kind of Malaysian TV overseas (RTM 1 & 2 only). By the way, to get the programming guide for both channels, go to www.star.com.my and click on Entertainment. Select TV&Radio and then click on TV Guide.
Ok .. I go and come ah.
JT,
carefour, u will talk like that, and then you half probing.
er, do u need translation for that, JT?
Have a safe trip and take care.
LUJordan, solly ah... it is www.thestar.com.my not what I wrote earlier.
Nuraina, I believe I managed to translate that myself. Just trying to make out the last word -"probing". Is it "problem"? wah.. very shame one lah, Jacqui could not understand that part.
sigh.. I miss Malaysia. Somehow we can get away with talking like that in Malaysia.
My late mum used to get tickled whenever I switched into the "Ah Lian" mode. She always laughed. Then, the very next moment she would tell me seriously to always speak properly.
If my dad were alive and heard me speak that way, I believe, he would have sentenced me to reading a week's worth of Reader's Digest and his Cambridge Std. 6 English book (man! the standard of English back then was very high for primary school children).
JT :o)
~ go & come safely, ah ...
~ me hop u ok when u come.
LOL !
seriously ... take care & have a safe journey, Jacqui
